An Introduction To Hypnosis with Olga

Let's talk about the very powerful and beautiful tool that is Hypnosis!

There are quite a few common misconceptions about Hypnotherapy.


When most people hear 'Hypnotherapy' they often assume that it is some form of mind control or that they will do silly things like cluck like a chicken. But that is stage hypnosis – and hypnotherapy is very different. Hypnotherapy simply uses a deep state of relaxation to quieten the conscious mind and speak directly to your subconscious mind. It feels like a lovely, deep meditation. The conscious mind does 3-5% of the work, which means that we are only 3-5% consciously aware of our thoughts, thinking patterns and emotions.


So therefore, the subconscious mind is much more powerful, and is responsible for the majority of our habitual behaviours, emotions, and thought patterns. Up until now, you have mostly created your life based on these subconscious patterns, and so the key to making positive and permanent changes in our lives is working directly with the subconscious mind. Chances are that you have realized some negative or limiting thought patterns and beliefs, or perhaps you have realized that your self-talk isn’t very kind or empowering. Perhaps you have even realized some negative, repeating habits that you have, and so you've wanted to adjust or change these patterns in various areas of your life and may have begun to do so, only to find yourself reverting to those behaviours you consciously know you don't want to be doing. When this happens, it's because our conscious and unconscious minds are in conflict and the shift needs to begin on a deeper level. I've been there. I began my journey with Hypnotherapy a few years ago to help with the negative thought patterns I recognized in myself that kept me stuck and unhappy. I had tried many other methods and modalities over the years, and while some provided temporary help, I knew I needed something different and on a deeper level to help me break these cycles. Choosing hypnotherapy was life-changing for my mental health and overall wellness. Soon after, I began my studies as a Hypnotherapist and Trainer of Hypnotherapy, not only because it helped me conquer my challenges but because it allowed me to believe in myself enough to pursue it as a healing practice so I could help others.


It is extremely powerful, yet deeply relaxing and it assists you with rewriting your subconscious patterns to become more empowering. This allows you to take great steps forward in your life. I'm passionate about Hypnotherapy, sharing how it works and what to expect.
